Grow Fins

This is a video from a show we did called ‘Retribution’ at Paddington Town hall around mid-1985. the song was ‘Grow Fins’ a Captain Beefheart cover we had a lot of fun with. There were a bunch of other bands playing like Ups and Downs and The Wreckery. The stage was much bigger than the normal dumps we were playing at the time but we felt right at home.

  1. You guys changed your style so much from those early days. What was your reason for that? I remember a gig at Paddo when you were doing Mirror Blues as an encore & the venue turned all your power off! Bastards!

  2. This was the first time I saw Died Pretty. I remember Ron in his top hat & that Ian Curtis/Joe Cocker dance he used to do. I was 15 & that Retribution set was one of the first things I ever saw & Died Pretty blew my mind. I went out & bought the 'Next To Nothing' EP & the two Citadel singles in the days following the show. If there's any more footage can you please post it?
